Job summary

LGC Clinical Diagnostics seeks an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development from concept to market launch. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, align projects with strategic priorities and drive timely delivery of diagnostic solutions.

This pivotal role requires leadership, risk management and strong communication with customers and senior leaders. Applicants should bring a life sciences degree, 5–7+ years in programme management, and familiarity with Agile/Waterfall;

Qualifications

Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related field.
5-7+ years in programme or project management in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or pharma.
Proven success delivering complex cross-functional projects or programmes.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.
Budgeting, risk management and collaborator engagement experience.
Outstanding leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes is an advantage.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Jira.

Responsibilities

Develop end-to-end programme plans for complex NPD projects aligned with priorities.
Lead cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently.
Manage timelines, resources, budgets and collaborator expectations.
Coordinate full product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.

Job Description

We’re recruiting for an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) initiative. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the development of innovative, market-ready diagnostic solutions from concept through to launch.

What you’ll do:

Develop and deliver end-to-end programme plans for complex NPD projects, aligned with strategic priorities
Lead, encourage, and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently and effectively
Manage timelines, resources, budgets, and collaborator expectations
Coordinate the full product development lifecycle — from ideation to commercial launch

Collaborate closely with internal and external collaborators, including customers and senior leadership

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

A degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or a related field
5-7+ years of experience in programme or project management, ideally in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or pharmaceuticals
Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional projects or programmes
Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.)
Expertise in budgeting, risk management and collaborator engagement
Outstanding leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
PMP certification or equivalent is desirable
Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes is an advantage
Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar
