Job summary

Hunter Savage is recruiting a NPD Assistant for a Dublin-based role within a growing food manufacturer. The successful candidate will work alongside bakery professionals and a Product Manager to drive new product development from concept through to launch.

The role offers hands-on experience across product trials, customer samples, and factory launches, with opportunity to build a career in NPD within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Degree or experience in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Baking or related discipline.
• Genuine passion for baking and food innovation.
• Previous experience in bakery, kitchen, food production or NPD environment advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities of the NPD team.
• Prepare ingredients and assist with baking activities for product development.
• Assist with product trials, taste panels and new product launches.
• Prepare, package and dispatch customer samples.
• Support factory trials from concept to launch.
• Record trial results and maintain documentation.
• Organise ingredients, packaging and materials for trials.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the NPD kitchen.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and senior bakery team on product innovation.
• Assist with additional NPD activities as required.

We are hiring on behalf of our client for an exciting NPD Assistant opportunity based in Dublin.

This NPD Assistant role is ideal for someone with a passion for baking, food innovation and product development who is looking to build a career within New Product Development. Working alongside experienced bakery professionals and the Product Manager, the successful NPD Assistant will play a key role in bringing exciting new bakery products from concept through to launch.

The Role

• Support the day‑to‑day activities of the New Product Development team.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
