Job summary

Gist’s Transport team in Clonshaugh, Dublin has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Shift Manager who will deliver day-to-day transport operations at site, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will work Wednesday to Sunday, 8pm to 6am, with flexibility to support the team. The role reports to the Transport Operations Manager and includes recruitment, induction, absence management, wellbeing meetings and 1:1s, plus KPI delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven transport supervisory or managerial experience.
• Ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
• Knowledgeable in transport rules, regulations, compliance and systems.
• Excellent communicator capable of building strong working relationships.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agencies and subcontractors.
• Own recruitment, induction, absence management, wellbeing meetings and 1:1s, including disciplinaries and investigations.
• Ensure effective communication within transport teams through meetings and briefings.
• Deliver operational KPIs and drive performance to meet service targets.
