The Banner Plaza in Ireland is seeking a full-time Night Hatch Attendant to join the team. The role covers night hours and requires full flexibility to work 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends.

Responsibilities include manning the hatch at all times, training new night staff when required, handing over with daytime staff, delivering consistent customer service, and carrying out cleaning, stocking, and stock-rotation duties to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Availability for 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hatch is manned at all times.
• Induct and train new nighttime staff when required.
• Communicate with daytime staff and provide handover for outstanding issues.
• Provide high-quality, consistent customer service at all times.
• Carry out cleaning, stocking, and maintenance tasks during quiet periods.
• Assist the manager with night-time store and forecourt management.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the store.
• Minimise stock loss through wastage, damages, and pilferage.
• Merchandise the store in a customer-friendly, compliant manner.
• Rotate stock to ensure in-date products are available.

We invite applications for a full-time Night Hatch Attendant to join the team at The Banner Plaza.

PLEASE NOTE:
The Night Hatch Attendant position is scheduled for 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
This role requires full flexibility to work night shifts.

Job Purpose: To assist the Retail & Forecourt Manager in supervising the site and operations therein, during the nighttime period.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the hatch is manned at all times
• When required, the effective induction and training of any new nighttime employees.
• To communicate operational matters to daytime staff, and provide a proper handover if issues are outstanding.
• Ensure high-quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.
• To carry out any time night duties regarding cleaning or servicing of equipment – coffee machines, etc. in keeping with the procedure to ensure top quality products to our customers, whilst conducting various stocking-up duties during quiet periods, together with cleaning of tea/coffee machines and support duties during quieter times
• Assist the retail and forecourt manager in the effective management of the retail store and forecourt, in particular communicating any customer requests at night, bringing forward any new ideas for improving the service we offer.
• To ensure potential hazards in the store are identified and reduced or where possible removed/eliminated.
• To assist the manager in minimising stock loss through wastage, damages, and pilferage while ensuring food management and waste systems are adhered to.
• Ensure the store is merchandised in a customer-friendly and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in-date stock is available.

The Shop will be closed to the public, however, limited services will be offered by you via the night hatch.
