Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Digs and backfills holes, ditches, and trenches; erects and removes poles.
• Sweeps streets and gutters; loads sweepings onto trucks.
• Cleans out clogged catchbasins, culverts, drains, wellholes, and manholes; cleans and flushes sewers.
• Shovels snow, breaks ice, spreads sand, maintains sand and salt boxes for snow removal.
• Operates rock boxes and performs surface treating road sections and pavement repairs.
• Loads/unloads material and supplies; cleans and fills lanterns.
• Lifts and moves materials; assists more skilled workers on construction, maintenance and repair projects.
