News Corp UK & Ireland Limited is seeking a Multi‑Media Local Journalist to report with impact across your franchise area, on location and in communities. You will source exclusive stories, craft engaging local news, and deliver high‑quality audio and video for broadcast and digital platforms.
You’ll work closely with newsroom teams, travel across the local region, and uphold the highest journalistic standards while developing long‑form features and podcast formats for multi‑platform audiences.
Onic is pioneering a new era of radio news. Through the creation of the Onic News Hub, we will have centralised production of national and international news, freeing our local journalists to do what they do best: breaking stories within their communities.
As a Multi-Media Local Journalist, you will be the eyes, ears, and voice of your franchise area. No longer tethered to a studio desk to read hourly, syndicated bulletins, you will spend a significant portion of your week \"on the ground, and in the communities\" within your TSA, investigating, interviewing, and reporting on the issues that matter most to our listeners. You will supply high-quality, hyper-local audio, digital, and video content to both our digital platforms and the Onic News Hub for broadcast.
Every day our audiences welcome us into their lives and allow us to share their day through. Individually and collectively in every setting and at any time of the day we are their trusted companion. Their trust allows us to connect in a deep and meaningful way across our audio, digital and online platforms. The fusion of the strength of our heritage and our cutting edge innovation enables us to deliver what our communities want, when they want it. We’re about connecting and cultivating communities of loyal listeners, online and on‑air. With a monthly media footprint of over 10 million across on air and digital we have real broadcast coverage across Ireland. A national network that is proudly local and boldly vocal about what makes you – and us – unique. We know when to turn up the volume and when to dial it back. We’re all about celebrating local culture while staying tuned in to global trends. Our fresh, inclusive outlook means we can meet the needs of our local yet diverse communities while still connecting with a savvy, worldly audience. For more check out Onic.ie
