Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician for a well-established manufacturing business in County Cavan. The role covers reactive and preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on improving reliability and reducing downtime.

You will work with the Engineering team to implement long-term solutions, perform routine inspections, and help drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives while ensuring GMP and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical or Mechanical trade with relevant certification.
• Experience in maintenance in manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance and understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections of machinery, electrical panels and equipment.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning of new machinery.
• Collaborate with Process Engineer and Engineering team to improve reliability and performance.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Record all maintenance activities and downtime through the CMMS system.
• Support Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, health, safety and food safety standards.
• Coordinate and support external contractors as required.

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in County Cavan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Technician to join an engineering team, supporting the day-to-day maintenance of production equipment while driving reliability, reducing downtime and ensuring the plant operates to the highest standards.

The Role

• Carry out reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.

About You

• Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
