Job summary

Abbey Moulding Contractors Ltd, trading as Total Plastic Solution (TPS), is seeking experienced machinists for its Dromcollogher operation. You will set up and run manual mills and lathes, and CNC milling/turning on Cincinnati machines with Fanuc controls.

Read drawings, select tools, and inspect parts to tight tolerances. Starting salary is €38,000 per year, with typical daytime hours and occasional 16:00–00:00 shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ability on manual milling machines and manual lathes.
• Practical CNC setup and operating experience.
• Ability to read drawings and inspect own work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling machines and centre lathes.
• Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning equipment (Cincinnati CNC with Fanuc controls).
• Read engineering drawings, plan machining sequences and select tools, speeds and feeds.
• Manufacture one-off and small-batch components, including tooling and repair parts.
• Measure and inspect completed work using metrology equipment.
• Work independently with safe working practices and clear communication of issues.
