Job summary

Accountancy Solutions is seeking a payroll and accounts specialist to join our finance team. The role will take full responsibility for payroll across a number of entities and support the Financial Controller in other areas of finance.

Responsibilities include managing payrolls, setting up attendance, expenses reporting, month-end, journals, AP, bank reconciliations, year-end tasks and general admin. The ideal candidate has SME payroll experience, IPASS or studying, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience of processing payroll within an SME environment.
  • IPASS or studying towards qualification desirable.
  • Relevant experience in a busy finance function.
  • Excellent communication skills – fluent English essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance/payroll packages.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for a number of payrolls within the organisation.
  • Set up employees on time and attendance system.
  • Maintain attendance records and holidays.
  • Manage expenses and expense reporting to Revenue.
  • Reconciliations.
  • Month end reporting.
  • Deal with payroll queries from employees.
  • Journal postings.
  • Accounts payable.
  • Bank account management.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Complete other tasks and administrative duties as requested.
  • Involvement in year end.
