Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in Motor Underwriting.
• Professional CIP or equivalent insurance qualification is required.
• Strong analytical abilities to support underwriting decisions.
• Solid understanding of underwriting principles and pricing methodologies.
• Excellent Excel skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
• Well-organised with ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of motor insurance programmes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Underwrite new and existing business ensuring pricing and risk selection remain commercially appropriate.
• Review referrals and support decision-making on pricing, discounts, and policy acceptance.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and underwriting outcomes.
• Collaborate with actuarial, legal, reinsurance and business development teams on underwriting initiatives.
• Support development and enhancement of policy wordings, underwriting procedures, and product offerings.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners during programme reviews.

Your Role
