Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer based remotely in Ireland to champion our visual brand across channels. You will translate complex ideas into engaging animation, video, and storytelling for corporate content programs, aligning with strategic intent at every stage.

Portfolio submission is required. The role requires a degree in motion graphics or related field and 2+ years of professional experience, with advanced skills in After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts with 2+ years of professional experience
• Advanced proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Experience applying animation principles, pacing, transitions, kinetic typography, and visual storytelling
• Experience adapting motion content for social media, digital, web, and presentation platforms

Responsibilities

• Create high quality motion graphics and video content for digital, social, and multimedia channels
• Design and animate assets for product launches, campaigns, explainers, and storytelling pieces
• Elevate brand expression through animation, pacing, typography, colour, sound, and visual effects
• Deliver bold, clean motion content aligned with brand standards and compliance needs
• Support static design when needed to ensure cohesive visual systems
• Contribute ideas in brainstorms, kick offs, and concept development sessions
• Support the full motion graphics workflow: concepting, animation, editing, versioning, and final delivery
• Collaborate with designers, editors, and creatives to deliver cohesive storytelling
• Communicate clearly and professionally, contributing to a culture of excellence and problem solving
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment across motion deliverables
• Follow established animation standards, creative workflows, and asset management processes
• Review work for visual quality, technical precision, and regulatory compliance

A Day in the Life

We are hiring a Motion Graphics Designer to champion our visual brand through the creation of highly creative, engaging, and immersive motion-led content across multiple channels. This role will support Corporate Content & Creative (C3) programs and plans, bringing complex ideas to life through animation, video, and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and excited to learn a complex industry and customer landscape using motion design to deliver content that aligns to strategic intent at every stage of the buying journey. You’re equally comfortable translating brand systems into motion as you are pushing creative boundaries within them. The role will be remote based in Ireland.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts, with 2+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation, or video production
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro
• Demonstrated experience applying animation principles, pacing, transitions, kinetic typography, and visual storytelling
• Demonstrated experience adapting motion content for social media, digital, web, and presentation platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Using three-dimensional design tools such as Cinema 4D, Maxon, or Blender
• Applying layout, typography, and colour theory principles to motion and static visual content
• Editing video and integrating sound, visual effects, and animated assets into finished content
• Translating established brand systems into consistent motion graphics across multiple channels

The final salary within this range will be determined based on objective, job-related criteria, including relevant experience, skills and qualifications, in accordance with our compensation framework.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
