Job summary

Vertiv Ireland Limited is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for its Skidded Switchgear Solutions team in Ireland. You will design modular steel buildings, create 3D models, perform calculations, and prepare workshop drawings and specs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with Eurocodes and industry standards, review subcontractor documents, and support fabrication and site activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in structural design.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency with Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Ansys and related tools.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design Skidded Steel Structures and develop 3D models and calculations.
• Prepare workshop drawings, lifting layouts, anchoring details, and material specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with international, national and internal standards.
