Monzo in Dublin is seeking a senior leader in Model Risk Oversight to scale EU-wide MRM and governance. You will define validation standards, drive the Model Risk Oversight Committee, and ensure alignment with ECB/EEA expectations while coordinating with global frameworks.

You will lead independent validation across credit risk, fraud risk, and financial risk domains, shaping risk governance in a growing European operation.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in a highly quantitative discipline (MSc/PhD).
• Extensive experience in quantitative Model Risk Management within senior financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical 2LOD validation of material and high-risk models prior to deployment.
• Evaluate mathematical logic, data lineage, and model performance for risk domains.
• Provide independent oversight across credit, fraud, and financial risk models.
• Establish monitoring standards including back-testing and drift detection.
• Challenge first-line analytics with objective, risk-focused feedback.
