Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Product Owner for mobile products in Galway. You will own and prioritise the product backlog, translate business needs into clear requirements, and collaborate with product, UX, engineering and stakeholders to deliver compelling mobile experiences.

In this hybrid role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure mobile initiatives are clearly defined, prioritised and delivered to a high standard for iOS and Android platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Owner in a software product environment.
• Delivery of mobile app features or projects.
• Strong backlog management and sprint planning.
• Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Understanding mobile journeys and UX.
• Experience with agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the mobile product backlog.
• Translate needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement and support sprint activities.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers, UX and product managers.
• Define requirements for new mobile features and integrations.
• Ensure stories are detailed and ready for development.
• Balance customer value with technical dependencies.
• Support mobile product discovery and journey mapping.
• Coordinate dependencies across mobile, web, API and backend.
• Review work against requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Gather feedback to guide product improvements.
• Monitor performance and user experience metrics.
• Communicate delivery progress and risks to stakeholders.
• Support releases across iOS and Android applications.
