Job summary

Briggs Equipment seeks a Mobile Forklift Mechanic to service and maintain diesel, LPG and electric handling equipment in a field-based role covering the Dublin area.

You will adhere to health and safety guidelines, perform fault finding and planned maintenance, and ensure parts are ordered for tasks while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification required.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining forklifts or similar machinery.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to health and safety guidelines and workshop rules.
• Servicing and maintaining diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment.
• Fault finding and completing planned preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspections of forklift trucks.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas.

Location: Home based (County Dublin area)

The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across Irelandand the UK. Due to growth and development in our Engineering team, we’re now looking for skilled Mechanics/Fitters to join us in a field based role.

We are keen to see CV’s from candidates who have experience within one of the following sectors; forklift trucks, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, HGV's, passenger carrying vehicles or similar machinery.

In this role you will be:

• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and workshop rules.
• Servicing and maintaining diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment.
• Fault finding and completing planned preventative maintenance and pre delivery inspection of forklift trucks.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas
• Completing job cards and ensuring all required parts to complete tasks are ordered.
• Providing a professional and friendly customer service experience.

You will have:

• Relevant technical qualification
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals
• The ability to work independently and under pressure.
