Job summary

WSP is seeking a senior leader to head and develop the mine water treatment team in Ireland, coordinating with the global WSP network to deliver integrated solutions. You will drive technical excellence while aligning with business goals and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in process or chemical engineering (or equivalent).
• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field.

• Experience across multiple global jurisdictions.

Overview

This role is a critical leadership position within WSP’s UK and Ireland based mining business and involves the building and development of a client focused mine water treatment team. As a highly integrated part of the global WSP network, you will coordinate closely with other regional teams and support the current UK and Ireland mine water team.

Responsibilities

• A strategic leader responsible for creating and expanding a client‑focused mine water treatment team, driving both technical and business outcomes.
• Develop and promote a water stewardship initiative that helps clients meet water intensity, efficiency, and sustainability objectives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering effective solutions to their challenges and fostering long‑term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor level qualification in process or chemical engineering (or equivalent field).
• Master’s or PhD level qualification in a relevant field.
• A proven track record in building, developing, and leading mine water treatment teams with strong employee retention and professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and business development with the ability to source projects.
• Leadership in HSSE, implementing policies and procedures that positively influence safety culture.
• Experience across multiple global jurisdictions.
