Job summary

Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our fabrication team in Ireland. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, prepare materials, and produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications.

You will operate grinders and cutting tools, work safely to Welding Procedure Specifications, and collaborate with site teams across multiple locations. Candidates must have at least three years of MIG welding experience and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' MIG welding experience in construction, heavy engineering or steel fabrication.
  • Experience welding mild steel and structural steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment including grinders, cutting tools and associated workshop machinery.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds to specification.
  • Strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to relocate to Ireland and work on various project locations.

  • Carry out tack welding, fabrication and assembly of steel components.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment and associated fabrication tools safely.
  • Work in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure work areas are clean and organised.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, company policies and quality standards.
  • Report defects, non-conformances or safety concerns promptly.
  • Work effectively as part of a fabrication or site-based team.
