Job summary

SoCode Recruitment in Dublin is seeking a Mid-Level/Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our client’s Dublin team, primarily office-based, with the aim of delivering hardware-integrated embedded systems from concept to production and real-world deployment. You will develop in C, C++ or Rust, work with Zephyr OS and Embedded Linux, and use interfaces like Bluetooth, Wi Fi, USB, UART, SPI and I2C.

Mid-Level/Senior Embedded Software Engineer | C/C++/Rust

Dublin | Primarily office-based

Up to €80k + benefits, (depending on experience)

Want to build embedded technology that leaves the lab and ends up in the real world? I'm working with a global product innovation company that's looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their growing Dublin team.

And this isn't your typical embedded role. You'll be working on new and genuinely challenging products for some of the world's biggest brands, taking ideas from early concept to prototype to production and real world deployment. You'll work alongside electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, designers and scientists, so if you like getting close to the hardware and solving problems beyond the boundaries of software, this could be a great fit.

• Has solid professional experience developing embedded software
• Is strong in C, C++ or Rust
• Has hands on experience with RTOS, Embedded Linux or bare metal systems
• Enjoys debugging and solving problems at the hardware and software boundary
• Understands protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Bluetooth or Wi Fi
• Is comfortable working from datasheets and alongside hardware engineers
• Takes pride in writing well tested, maintainable software
• Can communicate technical ideas clearly
• Most importantly, is curious, practical and enjoys figuring things out
