Job summary

Berkley Group seeks an experienced Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer in Ireland to maintain and upgrade our enterprise IT environment. You will administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365, while driving security controls and automation with PowerShell.

You will lead migrations, OS deployments and ongoing support across on-premises and cloud services (Azure). This role emphasises governance, DLP awareness and collaboration with internal teams and external providers.

Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft infrastructure engineering and administration.
• Strong Windows Server 2016/2022+ troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Proficient with AD, Entra ID, and GPO concepts.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Defender).
• Security controls, access management and DLP knowledge.
• Proven ability to resolve L2/L3 enterprise tickets.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Familiarity with MDT, Windows imaging and deployments.
• Experience with System Center and troubleshooting tools (Sysinternals).
• Knowledge of SharePoint Online/Server and Azure cloud services.

• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external service providers and technical partners.

Key Skills

• Strong experience in Microsoft infrastructure engineering and administration.


• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2022 or newer, including configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.


• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and Group Policy (GPO).


• Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft Defender.


• Knowledge of infrastructure security, user permissions, access management and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).


• Experience resolving Level 2 and Level 3 technical support tickets in an enterprise environment.


• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows imaging and Windows 11 deployments.


• Experience managing Windows file servers and familiarity with Microsoft System Center and troubleshooting tools such as Sysinternals.


• Experience with SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server.


• Experience with Azure and cloud-based infrastructure services.


• Familiarity with Hyper-V and virtualisation technologies.


• Experience with Exchange Server and public folder migrations.
