Job summary

Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd is sourcing a Metrology Technician for a leading life sciences client in Westport, Ireland. The role supports a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and focuses on measurement systems, data integrity, and ongoing metrology optimisation.

You will provide analytical support for moulded component batch release, create and review Metrology reports, maintain measurement systems, and perform statistical analyses on dimensional data for new products and tooling.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Extensive experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for moulded component batch release as required.
• Create and review Metrology reports to support batch release and engineering study development.
• Maintain and troubleshoot measurement systems to ensure optimum performance.
• Drive continual improvement of metrology systems and processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct statistical analysis on measurement results from dimensional inspection of samples for new product introductions and replacement tools.

What you’ll deliver:

• To provide analytical support for moulded component batch release as and when required.


• To create and review Metrology reports as required in support of moulded component batch release and engineering study development.


• To maintain & troubleshoot measurement systems to ensure their continued optimum performance.


• Contentious improvement of metrology systems and processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.


• To conduct statistical analysis on measurement results generated from the dimensional inspection of samples from moulding runs for new product introductions and replacement tools.

Experience required:

• A minimum of an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or relateddiscipline is required.


• Extensive experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.
