Job summary

QCS Staffing in Westport, Ireland, seeks a Metrology Technician for an initial 12-month contract in a state-of-the-art life sciences manufacturing facility.

You will support moulded component batch release, create and review Metrology reports, and maintain measurement systems. The role includes statistical analysis of dimensional inspection data to support new product introductions and tool replacements.

Qualifications

• Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or related discipline required.
• Extensive experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for moulded component batch release.
• Create and review Metrology reports in support of batch release and engineering study development.
• Maintain and troubleshoot measurement systems to ensure optimum performance.
• Pursue continuous improvement of metrology systems and processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Deliver

• To provide analytical support for moulded component batch release as and when required.
• To create and review Metrology reports as required in support of moulded component batch release and engineering study development.
• To maintain & troubleshoot measurement systems to ensure their continued optimum performance.
• Contentious improvement of metrology systems and processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• To conduct statistical analysis on measurement results generated from the dimensional inspection of samples from moulding runs for new product introductions and replacement tools.

Experience required:

• A minimum of an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or relateddiscipline is required.
• Extensive experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.
