Job summary

Tully Forge Ltd & Forge Mechanical Services in Ireland is seeking a Qualified Metal Fabricator / MIG Welder to join a busy engineering and fabrication team. The successful candidate will fabricate components from drawings, MIG weld to a high standard, and read and interpret fabrication drawings.

The role requires independence, precision, and a strong understanding of workshop safety. Relocation or local accommodation is available, with a modern workshop and long-term, full-time employment

Job description

Qualified Metal Fabricator

We are currently looking for an experienced Qualified Metal Fabricator / MIG Welder to join our busy engineering and fabrication team.

This is a full-time position for a skilled fabricator who is confident working independently and can manufacture components and assemblies accurately from engineering drawings.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Fabricating mild steel components and assemblies to engineering drawings
• MIG welding to a high standard
• Reading and interpreting fabrication and engineering drawings
• Measuring, marking out, fitting and assembling fabricated components
• Checking completed work for dimensional accuracy and quality
• Working independently and managing their own workload
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should:

• Be a qualified or highly experienced metal fabricator
• Have strong MIG welding skills
• Be able to confidently read and understand fabrication drawings
• Have experience manufacturing fabricated steel assemblies
• Be capable of working independently without constant supervision
• Have a good understanding of workshop health and safety

Experience in agricultural, structural, industrial or general engineering fabrication would be an advantage.

Relocation / Accommodation Available

We welcome applications from experienced fabricators from any part of Ireland or candidates considering relocating for the position.

Local accommodation is available if required, with rooms available to rent in a shared house close to the workplace.

This may suit a fabricator who is interested in relocating for a permanent position without having to immediately arrange their own accommodation.
