Job summary

Cognizant Life Sciences Manufacturing is seeking an MES Support Engineer in Cork, Ireland. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting the MES system (Syncade) used in a large biotech manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with MES, strong technical background in software engineering or computer science, and is capable of configuring MES modules such as Weigh & Dispense and Equipment Management. On-call support is required.

Qualifications

• GMP & Validation in a regulated environment; knowledge of validation deliverables.
• Experience gathering requirements, design docs, test cases and system validation.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes in pharma/biotech and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for MES system users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MES system issues.
• Monitor system availability and performance; perform upgrades as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.
• Participate in new functionality or upgrade projects.
• On call support.
