Job summary

Cognizant Life Sciences Manufacturing in Cork, Ireland, seeks a MES Support Engineer to maintain and support the MES in a large biotech facility. The role requires a strong technical background in computer science or software engineering and experience in GMP-regulated environments.

The MES Engineer will configure and support MES Weigh and Dispense and Equipment Management modules, develop shop-floor understanding, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure optimal MES performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a regulated environment.
• 3-5 years hands-on experience with requirements gathering, design documentation, test case development, system & integration testing, validation deliverables.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing processes and automation systems such as Delta-V and Foxboro.

Location: Cork, Ireland

The MES (Syncade) Support Engineer will be part of a growing MES team. The MES System supports Electronic Batch Records, Weigh and Dispense and electronic logbooks for the tracking of equipment used at large multi-national Biotech manufacturing facility in Cork.

The MES Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the manufacturing execution system (MES) and ensuring its optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have experience with MES applications, as well as a strong technical background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

S/he may be required to configure and support the MES Weigh and Dispense and Equipment Management modules. S/he is expected to develop an understanding of the operations on the shop floor.

Main Responsibilities (depending on the level of experience):
