Job summary

Stewart Construction in Ireland seeks an experienced MEP & Sustainability Manager to oversee the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services and sustainability requirements across construction projects. The role requires leading MEP coordination, implementing LEED/BREEAM/NZEB, and ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience in MEP/building services in construction.
• Experience on commercial projects (hotels, schools, offices).
• Strong knowledge of building services systems and installation processes.
• Experience in Design & Build projects and coordinating design teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and coordination of MEP activities on projects.
• Lead implementation of LEED, BREEAM and NZEB for sustainability.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in design for future maintenance.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and site management.
• Oversee MEP subcontractors and procurement processes.
• Review MEP design information for buildability and coordination.
• Lead MEP coordination and progress meetings.
• Assist in tendering and bid submissions for MEP works.
• Manage testing, commissioning and BCAR handover of MEP systems.
