Job summary

Glanua is seeking an experienced MEICA Project Manager to lead civil, MEICA and process teams on water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Ireland. You will manage programmes, budgets and HSQE on-site, guiding a one-team culture and coordinating with clients, designers and subcontractors.

You will support the Contracts Manager with commercial delivery, risk management and continuous improvement, while mentoring staff to develop a broad specialist knowledge base and career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role (water/wastewater preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013; Managing Safely for Construction Managers preferred.
• Experience in managing Civil and MEICA engineering works (concrete, pipelaying, mechanical and electrical packages).
• Level 8 Honours Degree in Engineering.
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver project objectives.
• Ability to engage with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors in financial negotiations and final accounts.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; baseline programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEICA and civil teams to deliver project on time and on budget.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards on-site.
• Coordinate with clients, client representatives and third-party agencies.
• Manage procurement and subcontracting to meet timelines and budget.
• Mentor staff and support development plans for your team.
• Promote Lean Construction and Last Planner methodologies.
• Report monthly project performance to framework manager and manage risk and opportunities.
• Maintain CPD and ensure continuous professional development.
