Job summary

Blackrock Clinic is seeking a Medical Laboratory/Data Entry Assistant for the Microbiology department in Dublin. This on-site role is a specific purpose contract for 6 months, with 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory scientific staff in the performance of pathology examinations as determined by the Chief Medical Scientist and under the supervision of a qualified medical scientist.
• Prepare and label samples for testing and analysis.
• Enter patient details and coded test information into the LIS and laboratory computer system accurately.
• Follow policies and guidelines in the quality management system of the laboratory.
• Be responsible for correct sample handling, identification and registration.
