Job summary

Trinity Medical is expanding its technical capabilities and recruiting a Field Service & Validation Engineer to deliver high-quality installation, servicing, and validation of decontamination and reprocessing systems across ROI & NI.

You will liaise with hospital Technical Service personnel, train staff, and provide remote technical support while staying compliant with regulatory norms. A driving licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stays, are required.

Qualifications

• Energetic field service professional with hospital environment exposure preferred.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with installation, servicing, and validation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, servicing, and testing of equipment in accordance with company procedures
• Liaise with hospital Technical Service personnel to ensure equipment installation requirements are met
• Engage with Technical personnel with a view to collaborating in the sale and design of equipment solutions
• Stay abreast of industry guidelines and regulatory norms, ensuring equipment is tested to the latest standards
• Liaise with the equipment manufacturer to ensure all technical bulletins and updates are acted upon
• Be fully conversant with products so work on customer’s premises is done in a professional, efficient, and safe manner
• Provide remote / telephone technical support to customers
• Train Hospital staff on the correct operation of our equipment
• Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales
• Maintain in good working condition all tools, spare-parts stock, and test equipment within his/her care
• Liaise with relevant customer contacts on site to plan service visits and duration of works to be carried out

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Electrically or mechanically qualified
• HTM Test Person qualification would be an advantage
• Ability to work on his/her own initiative and as part of a team
• IT literate with working experience of MS Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Full / Clean driving licence
• Regular travel throughout ROI & NI
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays away from home
• Previous experience of working within a Hospital environment would be an advantage
