Job summary

Sterimed Group, including Steripack Ireland, is seeking an engineer to design and develop innovative packaging solutions for medical devices. You will develop test methods, support process validation, and produce prototype samples for the sales team, working across engineering and operations.

You will contribute to material specs, performance testing, and documentation required for regulatory validation, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet project timelines and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering.
• 2–5 years’ experience in product development within medical devices.
• Experience with continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Knowledge of ISO16890, EN779, EN14683, EN149 and related standards.
• Experience with IQ, OQ, PQ validations for medical production lines.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptualization and design of new product concepts.
• Prepare engineering documents, raw material specs and finished goods specs; conduct reviews.
• Develop specifications including URS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ and validation documentation.
• Create test methods and protocols for execution.
• Build process capability to meet quality standards for product design and manufacture.
• Provide training to technical personnel.
• Support sales with technical input to accelerate proposals.
