Job summary

CREGG is seeking a Senior / Principal R&D Engineer to join their Medical Device team in Galway. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and experience in developing innovative medical device systems.

Key responsibilities include leading pump head characterisation, distal tip development, and packaging design. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years’ experience in medical device R&D or product development.
• Experience within a regulated medical device environment (ISO 13485/FDA).
• Experience in catheter or minimally invasive device development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of medical device systems, focusing on pump head, distal tip, and packaging.
• Coordinate verification testing and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and oversee external development activities.
