Job summary

Baker Finn Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a medical device manufacturing environment in Waterford. The role focuses on providing technical support to production, resolving machine and tooling issues, reducing scrap, improving throughput, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes and operations.

The successful candidate will have an honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline and experience in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Honours degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment desirable.
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments advantageous.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, or process optimisation beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to production, resolving machinery, tooling, and process issues.
  • Lead root-cause investigations to identify and eliminate recurring problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects across manufacturing processes, tooling, and operations.
  • Support characterisation and optimisation of medical device products and processes.
  • Design, document, and execute experiments and tests for process improvement and validation.
