Job summary

Cpl Group in Dundalk, Ireland, is seeking a permanent hands-on mechanical and mechatronic design engineer to lead 3D/2D design using SolidWorks on automated machinery.

You will work across transfer systems, servo and robotics, collaborate with electrical/software teams, and ensure documentation and ISO 9001 compliance; travel to UK/Europe and holding full working rights in Ireland are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on machine design and automation experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks; familiarity with PLC/control platforms and industry regulations.
• Driving license required; full, unrestricted working rights in Ireland (Stamp 4 or EU passport).

Responsibilities

• Own the 3D and 2D design, modeling, and detailing of automated machinery and mechatronic systems using SolidWorks.
• Design transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical equipment, and machine guarding from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate closely with electrical, software, and multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Manage technical document creation, project change control, and adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards.
