Job summary

ControlSoft Automation Systems Limited in Dundalk is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design innovative automation solutions and work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop the mechanical elements of automation systems. You will perform 3D/2D design in SolidWorks, create and control project documentation, and ensure customer requirements are understood and met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of machine design experience.
• Industry experience with Rockwell Studio 5000, FT View, Ignition, Siemens TIA Portal/Step7, OSI PI Historian, VBA.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP advantageous.
• Cisco Networking qualification and/or VMware or equivalent qualification advantageous.
• Knowledge of Robotics and safety standards advantageous.
• Ambitious, confident and professional individuals with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of automated equipment to meet customer requirements from concept to project delivery.
• 3D and 2D design and detailing using SolidWorks.
• Project documentation creation, review, and control.
• Ensure project requirements are reviewed, understood and agreed with the customer.
• Plan and prioritise work across multiple projects to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to achieve project and company goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the department and across the business.
• 3D design of mechatronic equipment including mechanisms, transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical equipment and machine guarding.
• Document the project and manage change control per ISO9001.
