Job summary

Jones Engineering in Dublin is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of complex mechanical projects. You will oversee organisation, scheduling, and implementation, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver cutting edge projects.

The role requires 5+ years post-qualification, a mechanical/building services degree, strong IT skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Healthcare projects are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' post-qualification experience in mechanical/building services.
  • Bachelor level qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with CSA activities.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience on healthcare projects is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver mechanical projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover on time and budget.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver cutting-edge projects.
  • Manage cross-functional team and develop the team.
  • Oversee scope, schedule, and budget and procurement as needed.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be pivotal to the development and completion of projects including the organisation, scheduling, and implementation. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to successfully deliver cutting edge projects.

  • Proven record delivering Mechanical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, on time and within budget.
  • Experience of managing combined Mechanical / Electrical projects a distinct advantage.
  • Commercially and contractually competent with a good understanding of project P&L.
  • Proven ability to manage an existing core cross-functional team / develop the team.
Skills and Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience post qualification.
  • Relevant third level qualification essential (Mechanical / Building Services Engineering).
  • Excellent IT skills essential and a good understanding of programmes including CSA activities.
  • Proven ability to work both individually and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Prior experience in managing building services projects (medium and large scale).
  • Experience in Healthcare advantageous, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills essential.
