Job summary

Dr. Ekler & Associates Human Resources Development Consultants Ltd. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Construction Lead for a major infrastructure project in Dublin.

You will own a technically complex mechanical and piping package through to handover, leading the team across engineering, fabrication, installation, quality and commissioning interfaces. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience delivering major mechanical construction projects.
  • Experience within power generation, energy centres or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong experience with high-pressure steam, condensate and feedwater systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical completion and commissioning experience.
  • Strong leadership and coordination capability across direct teams, subcontractors and multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Commercial and programme awareness with the ability to manage risk, change and delivery priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical construction activities from mobilisation through final handover.
  • Manage fabrication, installation, testing and turnover of mechanical and piping systems.
  • Coordinate interfaces with Civil, Structural, Electrical, C&I, OEM vendor and Commissioning teams.
  • Manage live-facility interfaces and SIMOPS.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, QA/QC procedures and employer requirements.
  • Lead programme delivery, labour planning and subcontractor performance.
  • Drive mechanical completion, line walking, punch closure and handover packs.
  • Support hydrotesting, flushing, chemical cleaning, steam blow and commissioning readiness.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, risks and change management.
  • Lead, support and develop the project mechanical team.
