Job summary

Lilly is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join the Mechanical Maintenance and Reliability Engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, contributing to the optimization of mechanical systems and ensuring reliable operation.

You will develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, support FMEA/RCA projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve asset performance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong academic record.
• Familiarity with maintenance concepts and reliability engineering principles (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment.
• Support reliability analysis projects (FMEA, RCA).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and propose solutions.
• Identify and evaluate spare parts requirements and inventory.
• Review and update engineering documentation (schematics, P&IDs, maintenance procedures).
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and predict failures for proactive maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices and asset management.
