Job summary

Rockwell in Cork is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to oversee a major mechanical project. The role requires leading a team, coordinating pipe installation and isometrics, and ensuring safety and quality in a Pharma/Life Science environment.

The candidate will manage pipe fabrication, stainless steel work, and on/offsite duties. The successful applicant will have 3+ years in supervision within Pharma/Life Science and 10+ years on mechanical/plumbing install projects, plus a Level 6 QQI Certificate

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervision role in Pharma / Life Science with emphasis on Safety and Quality.
• 10+ years experience working on mechanical / plumbing install projects.
• A minimum of a Level 6 QQI Certificate in Mechanical Craft Practice or an equivalent trade qualification in plumbing / pipefitting.
• Proven high level of technical knowledge with practical application.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on the project.
• Coordinate pipe install and fabrication/install isometrics, including stainless steel pipework.
• Oversee the assembly, laying, installing and maintaining of pipes.
• Work both inside and outside the site.
• Appropriate use of tools, including power tools, and maintenance of small tools.
• Reading and interpreting drawings.
• Apply safety precautions and manage risks.

Are you a Mechanical Foreman who is looking to be a part of delivering key projects, with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?
Rockwell are seeking a foreman to oversee an exciting mechanical engineering project in the Cork region, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This role requires the successful candidate to be comfortable in leading a team,
• Coordinate pipe install and generate fabrication/install, isometrics, as well as the ability to work with stainless steel pipework, within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or processing environment.
• Oversight of the assembly, laying, installing and maintaining of pipes.
• The role requires both inside and outside work.
• Appropriate use of tools, including power tools, and equipment.
• Maintaining and checking of small tools and equipment.
• Reading and interpreting drawings.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and risks associated with tasks

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervision role working in a Pharma / Life Science environment with a strong emphasis on Safety and Quality.
• 10+ years experience working on mechanical / plumbing install projects.
• A minimum of a Level 6 QQI Certificate in Mechanical Craft Practice or an equivalent trade qualification in plumbing / pipefitting.
