Jones Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Estimator based in Damastown (Dublin 15) to join our Maintenance division. The role focuses on tendering projects across Ireland, reviewing documents and coordinating with suppliers and the construction team to ensure accurate estimates.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a similar role, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and Excel skills to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Tendering a variety of projects in Ireland across sectors.
• Involvement in full tender process from start to finish.
• Site walks with construction team.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and other parties.
• Evaluate and validate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Issue tender RFIs and review client responses with Estimating Team.
• Attend meetings and site visits as required.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to be based in our Damastown office Dublin 15. This position is within Maintenance division of the group, so some understanding of mechanical equipment, materials, processes, materials etc. is important. Other important duties will include (but not limited to)

• Tendering a variety of projects in Ireland, across a range of sectors
• Involvement in full tender process from beginning to completion.
• Site walks with construction team.
• Conduct in-dept reviews of tender documents, drawings, specifications, schedules etc.
• Liaising with relevant parties/supplies/subcontractors.
• Evaluate, analyse & validate supplier and sub-contractor quotations.
• Issue tender RFIs and review client response with Estimating Team.
• Attend meetings and site visits are when required.

Skills and Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and time management skills essential.
• A strong analytical mindset with excellent negotiation skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills especially in the use of Excel/Google Sheets/etc.
• Problem solving skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
