Job summary

Cental Ltd. in Ireland is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and deliver modular and mission-critical infrastructure solutions. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to translate concepts into manufacturable designs and supporting documentation.

The role focuses on designing mechanical systems for data centre and industrial projects, performing calculations, creating 3D models, BOMs, and collaborating with production to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in mechanical/design engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with BOMs and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs, 3D models and drawings.
• Design and optimise mechanical systems for modular construction.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing for design-for-manufacture.
• Perform engineering calculations and design verification.
• Support product development and continuous improvement.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
• Liaise with suppliers on technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
• Provide technical support across project lifecycles.
