Job summary

Back 4 Good in Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems for manufacturing, energy, construction and advanced technology sectors.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, safe, and regulatory-compliant solutions, using CAD tools to detail designs, run feasibility studies, test prototypes, and oversee on-site installation where required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience; Chartered Engineer status or working towards is desirable.
• Familiarity with Irish and EU regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Conduct feasibility studies, testing, and validation of prototypes and finished systems.
• Evaluate mechanical systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Liaise with project managers, electrical engineers, and external contractors to ensure seamless integration.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of mechanical systems on-site where required.
• Ensure all documentation, including technical drawings and safety protocols, is accurate and compliant.
