Mech Design Engineer sought by a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery in Sligo. Site-based with regular travel to customer sites across Ireland and occasionally the UK and Europe, you will support project lifecycles from initial concept through to commissioning and sign-off.

Ideal candidates have SolidWorks proficiency and experience with electrical and pneumatic control systems; experience in regulated sectors such as FMCG, pharma or food/beverage is advantageous.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks proficiency and CAD experience.
• Experience with electrical and pneumatic control systems.
• Experience in manufacturing machinery in regulated sectors is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Sales and customers to shape project lifecycles from concept to sign-off.
• Develop machinery layouts and ensure design meets customer needs.
• Support manufacturing, commissioning and site trials.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Site-based in Sligo County, Ireland

With regular travel to customer sites across Ireland and occasionally the UK & Europe

A leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their in-house Design & Projects Department.

Their innovative processing and packaging line equipment is used across a wide variety of industries including FMCG, food & beverage.

The Mechanical Design Project Engineer will work closely with the Sales Team and customers to support the delivery of project life cycles from initial machinery and block layout concepts and customer approval through to manufacturing, commissioning and sign off.

This is an exciting time to be joining them as they are continuing to expand their core product ranges, integrating technological developments in automation & robotics, and the development of bespoke solutions to meet specific customer needs means your work will be interesting and varied.

Previous experience of working for a manufacturer of technical products or machinery used within regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, beverage, or FMCG industries would be beneficial but not essential.

You should be a confident user of Solidworks (or similar CAD package) and ideally have experience of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
