Job summary

PE Global is recruiting a Material Controller for a leading multinational Biotech client based in Cork. The role covers stock preparation, cycle counts, and replenishment to ensure laboratories are well stocked. 4-month contract, Mon-Fri, 07:30-16:00.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, managing stock, disposal of glassware and solvents, recycling packaging and supporting audits. Training provided; prior pharma/food manufacturing exposure is helpful.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate with a curiosity for science.
• Safepass is a must have.
• Full training will be given; pharma/food manufacturing experience desirable.
• Experience with materials handling/warehousing advantageous.
• Ability to follow Health & Safety instructions.
• Computer literate and able to capture, analyse and report data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain stock for detailed storing and perform daily stock cycle counts.
• Order consumables replenishment items online and deliver to customer locations.
• Receive inbound deliveries and manage defective/damaged products; move/store stock by hand or with equipment.
• Glassware, solvents and samples disposal as per expiry date; recycling of packaging materials.
• Identify opportunities for service improvements and implement them.
• Act as a point of contact for audits relating to inventory programs.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Material Controller for a leading multi-national Biotech client based in Cork.

This is an initial 4-month contract position Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:00, responsible for receiving and storing laboratory consumables and ensuring our customer laboratories are well-stocked.

ROLE:

• Ensure that stock is prepared and maintained for detailed storing, perform daily stock cycle counts, keep accurate records on inventory, and check for any discrepancies.
• Order consumable replenishment items online and deliver goods to customer locations. Continuously monitor inventory consumption levels and flag reports on a weekly basis.
• Receive inbound deliveries and account for all defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action; move and store stock by hand or machines.
• Glass & cabinet washing; glass, solvents & samples disposal as per expiry date
• Recycling of all packaging materials as per customer and client policies
• Identifying opportunities for improved services and implementing them
• Act as a point of contact for audits relating to inventory programs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Leaving Certificate and a curiosity for science.
• Safepass is a must have.
• Full training will be given, previous experience in a pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience with materials handling and/or warehousing would be an advantage
• Ability to understand and follow Health & Safety instructions
• Computer Literate
• Proficient in data capture, analysis and reporting
• Process-driven and high levels of attention to detail
• Full clean driving license

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in a GxP environment
• Inventory management or stock control experience
