Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc in Ireland is seeking a Material Handler to support production by receiving, storing and delivering materials and components, and by performing basic preparation tasks to keep processes flowing smoothly.

You will help maintain accurate stock, operate basic workshop equipment, and uphold a safe, clean and well-organised working environment in line with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling environment preferred.
• Experience operating hand and power tools is desirable.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions.
• Ability to perform manual handling duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and store raw materials and supplies in designated storage locations.
• Pull, stage, and deliver materials and components to production workstations in accordance with job requirements.
• Maintain accurate material identification, labelling, and stock rotation practices.
• Assist with inventory counts and report material shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Cut and prepare plastic materials to specified dimensions using basic workshop equipment where required.
• Support production teams by performing basic preparation tasks, including deburring, sanding, and material preparation.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and finished products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment while adhering to all company health and safety procedures.
