Job summary

Valeo is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift on a 12-month fixed-term contract at our Tuam facility in Ireland. You will support production by performing preventive maintenance and timely repairs to maximise OEE and minimise downtime.

The role requires hands-on electrical/electronic maintenance, experience in manufacturing environments, and knowledge of safety procedures. A relevant diploma and practical TPM experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: Certificate/Diploma Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2-3 years in manufacturing environment, preferably electronics.
• Experience with in-circuit and functional tests.
• Knowledge of automotive protocols (K-Line, CAN, LIN).
• Strong PC-based testing background and software/hardware installation skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Valeo safety requirements and PPE/LOTO procedures.
• Provide production support to achieve OEE and reduce line rejects.
• Log downtime and generate downtime reports each shift.
• Support TPM and maintain PM records.
• Assist in spare parts management and handover between shifts.
