Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment supports a global leader in medical solutions by recruiting Manufacturing Engineers for a growing site in Connacht, Ireland. These rolling contract roles focus on production support, process optimization and Lean initiatives.

You will collaborate with quality and engineering teams, participate in phase reviews, and develop GMP compliant documentation for major transfer projects. Strong technical and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering role within a highly regulated industry (medical device sector preferred).
• Excellent technical, communication, teamwork and initiative.
• Experience with equipment installation, qualification and process validation (OQ/PQ).
• Familiarity with MES, SAP, Windchill, Fast Track and Full Track Windchill CN access.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for products, processes, materials and equipment to help achieve production targets.
• Lead technical improvement and process optimization programs across safety, quality, service and cost areas.
• Liaise with internal and external quality and engineering teams; participate in phase reviews and NPE meetings.
• Deliver ongoing manufacturing support, ensure capacity planning and lead Lean initiatives.
• Develop GMP compliant documentation and plan major projects including transfers.
• Evaluate new equipment and processes for environmental impact in partnership with EHS.
• Manage multiple projects and contribute to team development.

About Your New Job

• As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide daily support for products, processes, materials, and equipment to help achieve production targets.

• You will serve as a key liaison with internal and external quality and engineering teams and participate in phase review and NPE meetings for new products.
• You will deliver ongoing manufacturing support, ensure capacity planning, and lead Lean initiatives.
• You will develop documentation that is GMP compliant and plan major projects, including product/process transfers.
• You will evaluate new equipment and processes for environmental impact in partnership with EHS.
• You will manage multiple projects and contribute to both your own and your team’s development.

What Skills You Need

• HETAC Level 8 qualification in engineering or a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years' experience in an engineering function within a highly regulated industry (medical device sector preferred).
• Experience with equipment installation, qualification, and process validation (OQ/PQ).
• Familiarity with MES, SAP, Windchill, Fast Track, and Full Track Windchill CN access.
• Excellent technical, communication, teamwork skills, and initiative.
• Project management experience is an advantage.
• Experience with Watchman products and processes is desirable.
