Job summary

CEL Critical Power is seeking a General Operator in Ireland to perform daily manufacturing tasks to the highest Quality/EHS standards. After a 3‑month training period you will be capable of completing the role as defined below.

You will assist in assembling switchgear panels, read basic drawings, perform prep work, and help with wiring and final assembly. The role requires physical activity, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly or mechanical build desirable.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or assembly instructions.
• Strong EHS and housekeeping awareness.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Comply with CEL’s Environmental, Health and Safety Procedures.
• Assemble switchgear panels using schematic, mechanical and general assembly drawings.
• Carry out preparatory work on switchgear components (cable stripping, label printing).
• Assemble mechanical components and copper assemblies.
• Assemble electrical sub-assemblies (wire harnesses, panel plates).
• Install panel doors, hinges, locks and fixings to build standards.
• Support wrapping and preparation of finished products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, audit-ready workstation and assist other departments as required.
• Report non-conformances and maintain a right-first-time mindset.
