Job summary

Sanofi Waterford is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical lyophilisation environment. You’ll support daily operations, help ensure GMP-compliant activities and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement projects.

This on-site internship runs from mid‑January 2027 for 6–8 months. You’ll work with experienced teams, develop problem-solving and technical skills, and have mentors guiding your learning in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Current university student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Willing to return to university after the internship and engage in GMP‑aligned operations.

Main responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations, helping ensure activities are carried out safely and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
• Assist with the preparation, review and updating of manufacturing procedures, batch documentation and training materials.
• Support the team in maintaining accurate records and preparing documentation for quality reviews and audits.
• Help collect, organise and analyse operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and other departments to support projects, follow up on issues and contribute to problem‑solving activities.
• Attend team meetings, share updates and actively contribute to achieving team goals and project objectives.

About you

To excel in this role, you will need to:

• Be a current university student studying towards a degree in Engineering, Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Mathematics or another relevant technical discipline, with plans to return to university after completing the internship.
• Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Have good communication skills and be comfortable contributing during meetings and presenting information to others.
• Be proactive, curious and eager to learn, with an interest in Continuous Improvement and manufacturing.
• Be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting different projects and activities.
