Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a Longford-based manufacturing client in finding a Financial Accountant to join the team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on both accounting and manufacturing work, providing critical financial insight and cost control support to drive operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will manage bank reconciliations, produce financial reports, oversee production costing and support month-end close, working closely with production teams to enhance stock

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience as Management Accountant, Cost Accountant or Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Strong Excel skills with data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Experience in manufacturing or stock-intensive environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bank reconciliations and related finance administration.
• Prepare, analyse and present financial reports to support decisions.
• Oversee production costing, cost analysis and productivity reporting.
• Carry out variance analysis and inventory reconciliations to maintain stock records.
• Support month-end close processes and management accounts.
• Collaborate with production and operations to improve stock accuracy and cost control.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts on a regular basis.
• Provide clear financial insight and commentary to support performance.
