Job summary

Barden has engaged a fast growing company in Ireland to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The role oversees the site’s financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow tracking, with close collaboration with engineers and plant managers to translate data into financial insight.

The successful candidate will drive KPI reporting, implement robust financial controls and lead month-end/year-end closes, delivering insights to optimise margins and capital decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Hands-on finance experience at a plant, factory or manufacturing site.
• Strong FP&A skills and the confidence to build a model of how a plant actually operates.
• A direct communicator, comfortable partnering with operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the site's commercial and financial performance - costs, margins, and the drivers behind them.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash flow/working capital tracking.
• Build financial models to appraise new projects and investments, including expansion and other developments.
• Develop and present KPI reporting to operational management and the wider Group.
• Partner closely with engineers and plant managers to turn operational data into financial insight.
• Oversee financial controls, procurement sign-off and month-end/year-end close.

Education
