Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Limerick, Ireland is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead (METL) to support Operations Management in producing contact lenses within strict quality and safety standards.

The METL will collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations, lead a repack team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Value Stream while mentoring supervisory and operations staff to grow their capabilities.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7+ in Management or Technical qualification or related discipline desirable.
• Experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, Innovation, and Customer Focus.
• Technical or people/team management qualification.
• Project Management Skills / Lean/Six Sigma desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Unit in cooperation with Quality and Engineering to manufacture Medical Devices according to global planning requirements.
• Lead the Repack team to meet global planning requirements.
• Ensure Safety and Quality Standards are upheld to the highest standard.
• Lead Inspections department for compliance and output.
• Lead year on year efficiency improvement and activity reduction.
• Drive continuous improvement focusing on quality, cost reduction, and process development.
